I don't know the details of the contractual arrangements for those signed at Epic, but I can only imagine that Melanie's commitment to Epic will be of a much longer duration than Chris and others. Therefore she has more time and they have less time to get their music out. Melanie's big reveal will be around the time of X Factor season 2.

Not a good choice by Simon, this doesn't push her voice enough. It is pushing all limits for a normal tenor, but this is not a soprano-song. If you have to sing a male song, I could think of a dozen others that would sound better.
