Hey Steph! What is your opinion of the oil cleansing method. I am seeing mixed reviews online.
Oct 10, 2011 epicbeautyguide Says:
Yep, you could use sweet almond oil. I find that olive oil can burn the eyes, but sweet almond oil, castor oil, and coconut oil are burn-free, cheap, and get makeup off easily.

Everyone is different, so I cannot really say how it will be for you. From my experience, and from what most people say about it, it will improve the appearance of your pores, fine lines, etc. Just be sure to follow the instructions properly and keep your pores clean with a yogurt mask or light acid peel/mask 1-3 times per week (my favorites are SIRCUIT Mocha Loca and ARCONA Raspberry Peel).

Hey Anne, thank you for the comment, you are very sweet. :) I just turned 25. Pimples do NOT make you ugly - you would be surprised how many people don't even notice pimples. Granted, they're not fun to have, but stressing over it wastes your energy and makes you feel bad about yourself. You can get rid of them very easily in a short amount of time, you just have to do a few things differently: eat healthy, move your body, drink only water and plenty of it, and use good skin care. If you're having a hormone imbalance, stop eating all soy and dairy for a few weeks and see how it goes. Soy contains phytoestrogens and dairy contains androgens (male hormones) - both mess up hormone balance, especially in women. For the yogurt, do plain, unsweetened, organic yogurt. Make sure there are no preservatives, fillers, binders, etc. The yogurt I get contains organic milk and probiotic cultures (acidophilius, etc.) and nothing else.

Since there are so many different yogurts out there I was wondering what you would reccomend as the best one to use .? I've been breaking out a lot lately (most likely due to hormone imbalance) i love your videos and I hope this will work!

That's awesome that you use the oil cleansing method! I tried OCM for a few months and it ended up breaking me out, so I just use a natural cleanser and use oils as a moisturizer. Coconut, olive, and sweet almond oils are my favorite.

olive oil, coconut oil, and castor oil are GREAT for removing dirt, oil, and makeup. I mix half olive oil, half castor oil every single day to help cleanse my face. If my face is really dry, I use a little olive or coconut oil as an added moisturizer. (If you have oilier skin, use more castor oil and less of the other two.) Whoever start this whole "oil is bad for your skin" thing was crazy. It's natural and so good for your skin. I love hearing you help destroy the myth. :D

I will definitely check out the Paleo literature. Thanks! Grass fed everything is becoming the in thing here in Alberta. It even tastes better. I tried some samples last week.they were much leaner too for some reason.

Grass-fed meat includes grass-fed beef, buffalo (which is technically wild and required to be grass-fed), and pasture-raised turkey and chicken which is not raised on a commercial grain diet. Wild meats like deer and elk and pheasant are also great. Wild fish is ideal. If you are borderline diabetic and anemic, definitely check out the primal diet. One of the best books for that is The Paleo Solution by Robb Wolf.
Feb 14, 2011 SandraDragon Says:
When you say grass fed wild meat that would not include beef I take it? I am both borderline diabetic and borderline anemic. It's a curse. What specific types of non-fish meat are acceptable? I eat fish too but need to know what other meats are ok? I try to eat as many organic things as possible so I'm willing to try almost anything except seafood... unless I want to go to the emergency room!? Allergies... Thanks.
