Approached out of the blue by the wizard Gandalf the Grey, Bilbo finds himself joining a company of thirteen dwarves led by the legendary warrior, Thorin Oakensheild. Their journey will take them into the Wild; through treacherous lands swarming with Goblins and Orcs, deadly Wargs and Giant Spiders, Shapeshifters and Sorcerers. lordzilu1584 Says:
For the king, For the King For the sake of Skyrim!
whutbrush Says:
If that is the main musical theme, I'm already hooked. Like the Fellowship, Edoras, and Gondor themes before it, like the Imperial March from Star Wars, this will be hummed forever.
Llamawithjetpack Says:
Reading the book again to refresh my memory! CANNOT WAIT!
NzRules100 Says:
Are you stupid?
Jake Doyle Says:
This movie is going to be the shit!!! A lot of the original actors from LOTR are in it making it that much better!!
XRYFIN Says:
Well seeing how your name is "KatnissPeeta4lyfe" I can tell that you are a somewhat horny pre - pubescent troll that thought their poorly composed love story was great erotica and that Peeta is your modern day Fabio. So all in all, your a fag, and get out. LoTR has lived on for decades and the hunger games will be phased out in a few years.. Only because the sequels to the book suck and the movies will too.
mysteriousblonde13 Says:
Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch, plays Smaug and the Necromancer) is in this, and Watson (Martin Freeman) the main freaking character! MIND BLOWN
mij194 Says:

Ok first you're retarded. second your gay and third you're account name is "katnisspeeta4lyfe" absolute facepalm, like if you go to the top of the misty mountains and then facepalm the force of your facepalm will take you all the way to the small pit of water at the end of Kazad dum that the balrog took gandalf in. (btw fuck jesus gandalf came back to life as well) and yeah. Thats how hard i'm facepalming right now
AnimePresident Says:
Thumbs Up if you've Read The Book!
drdaveoldguy Says:
Oh, he definitely isn't mentioned in "The Hobbit." (Only one elf is mentioned by name, and he's just a butler.) But between his royal/warrior status, and the exchange w/ Gloin, it's pretty clear that Tolkien envisioned him as having been involved by the time he wrote LOTR. As for the exchange w/ Gloin, Gloin's comment was something like "You were less gentle with me" and was in direct response to a comment by Legolas. The "You" is pretty clearly a reference to Legolas and his people.
no2kkk Says:
I read the Hobbit & LotR FotR, TTT & RotK at the age of 15 in less than 12 days! The book and films just give me a lump in my throat they're funny, they're emotional they're goddamn fricking amazing! And I for 1 cannot wait to go and see The Hobbit - shame my auntie (who along with my uncle introduced me to LotR) isn't around anymore to go see them... :'(
dragonman0000001 Says:
I agree with you about the Hobbit being the best of 2012 but I'm stoked for Prometheus as well. Can't we all just get along and look forward to everything that comes out this year?
brihunt123 Says:
Well yes, he is the son of the king of the Wood Elves, but I don't remember him being mentioned in the Hobbit. Also, I think Gloin was just bitter towards them, not directing the statement at Legolas specifically.
Raven4hunting Says:
ooooooh now I have another reason to dance for it! woo! so excited!
baaroodii Says:
This will be the hallmark of hallmarks in the fantasy movie genre. The first three made an everlasting impression on me I believe this movie will be even more engrossing.I used to joke with my friends about there being a new LOTR movie, and now this I CAN'T WAIT...
CreativeDouche Says:
Learn to read, you ignorant fool.
drdaveoldguy Says:
He's not mentioned by name in the book, but his presence in the story is spelled out in "Fellowship of the Ring" ... both generally (as the son of the king of the Mirkwood elves) and specifically (when Gloin complained to Legolas about how he and his people treated the dwarves). So yeah ... he is part of the story and will be in the films.
UltraTeamBattleSquad Says:
This movie looks great, Im going to hate getting hooked on it then having to wait for part 2 though.
elfil76 Says:
