I find it way more effective to exfoliate first before cleansing. The cleanser reaches deeper into the pores that way.

herez what i do 1. Cleanser 2. Hot towel place on face and remove cleaner 3. repeat the above with a scrub 4. then apply mask 5. remove mask with towel and apply toner, serum moisturizer.. I use eminence organics products
