My friends and I recently recorded a song called "Nylon Whale" and we would really love if you took the time to check it out! We don't sound much like Sufjan, but you may like our sound! Thanks so much!

To underestimate this man's ability to write a song is like people that dismissed the moon landing... Did either happen? oy gevalt. One happened and it's running through my thoughts every moment of every day. Oh, it ain't the moon landing........

not sure, but I think this song has a slight christian ministry feel to it. He's known to do that in his songs.

although music may be a subjective thing, there is definately some REALLY SHIT music out there, seriously I think the superiority complex is justified, especially if you have unique tastes and not a regular john kind of person stupid enough to listen to mainstream music that clearly is an institution only in it to make money and push a specific agenda of over-sexualization of society and doesn't care about real artistic/musical/emotional expression, I care about musical preference. Greatly.

RustySpo0n Says:
Although I agree with you, if you use inconsequential data from one study to validate a feeling of superiority based on music preference, all you're doing is creating a complex for yourself. Musical taste is subjective, and no one really cares about musical preference.

If you love this as much I do, you NEED to hear Horse Bones song called "Colusa." So amazing. Two beautiful artists we get to share! <3

nah, every artist has their own sound, Coldplay (to my ear) is extremely derivative of itself and i can't listen to more than two songs without getting bored. Sufjan's music is original in itself. Besides, ever seen the study done correlating music you listen to to the average testing scores? Sufjan is in second behind Beethoven, and Coldplay is almost last along with Nickelback and Lil Wayne. Take that for what it's worth, and don't knock on Sufjan.
