You can stay current with United States politics, and news all you want...I know your parents live in Boston so you definateley have a right. Also like you said, if they want it or not, the United States has a huge effect on the rest of the world. When the United States head gets way too big, its going to be the other big boys in the world like Britain who will keep them in line.
