Arnel Pineda and Journey's first concert of 2008 in Chile.
SONG: Dont' stop believing
Just a small town girl
Living in a lonely world
She took the midnight train going anywhere
Just a city boy
Born and raised in South Detroit
He took the midnight train going anywhere
A singer in a smoky room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on
{Refrain}
Strangers, waiting, up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlight people, living just to find emotion
Hiding somewhere in the night
Working hard to get my fill
Everybody wants a thrill
Paying anything to roll the dice
Just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on
{Refrain}
Don't stop believing
Hold on to that feeling
Streetlight people Less

Who asked you? I haven't read any posts asking what 11808Clover thinks of a band he's looking up on Youtube just to harrass their fans when he's already made his mind up YEARS ago when Perry left. How old are you?

Eighties? Just a fucking groupie eh! Most idiots only talk about COMMERCIALIZED 80's Journey, the real meat of the bands work was in the seventies, long before escape.

I just listened to 4 live recordings from different venues from the seventies, NO ONE compares to Steve Perry LIVE, NO ONE. Perrys vocal range destroys pineda, along with being a seasoned professional artist, and this was in the seventies, steve was and still is a superstar vocalist.

Good rendition, Arnel Pineda's definitely a strong singer and a good fit. Some of his pronunciations threw me as being a bit off but I could just be crazy.

I think Arnel's story is very inspiring. Reading about his life before Journey, you can see he's not someone who became what he is today overnight. He's been singing most of his life, even when he was sleeping on the streets in the Philippines, and now he created a foundation to help homeless kids. I wrote an article about Arnel for The Christian Post, you can google "Documental Arnel Pineda" to read it. His documentary is being shown here in New York as part of the TriBeCa Film Festival.
