I love Alterna! The Caviar line is amazing, the best mask ever is the Alterna 10 mask, but it is rather pricy. But if price isn't a concern I would definitely recommend it.

Hello! Ok well i have wavy/ curly hair and it is frizzy and pretty damaged from straightening. I need a good hydrating leave in conditioner or treatment. If you could recommend a great shampoo and conditioner it would be nice! My mom has really curly hair and she dyes it so she uses Alterna, idk if you have heard of it but its a good brand. She uses the Caviar line. It seems to work nice and im wondering if i should try their treaments so if you could help me out it would be nice thanks again

It's YOU!! You're the one who got me using sulfate free shampoo and I am going on almost three weeks now and my hair has not looked in this great shape since I was in grade school! I tried a few sulfate free shampoo's and ended up loving one called Hair One sulfate free shampoo from Sally's beauty supply. I Had to say THANK YOU TO YOU!

Redken is a great brand, but I would reccomend the All Soft before the smooth down, unless your hair is really dry and frizzy. Only because the Smooth Down can be really heavy and almost too moisturizing on some hair types. The All Soft is probably a better bet! <3

I haven't tried coconut oil, and I'm not sure how it would work on your hair. The thing I love about Ojon is that it adds moisture and it has reparative proteins, which coconut oil may or may not have. I'd love to know if coconut oil has reconstructive properties as well as moisturizing properties.

I have, and I have to be honest, I didn't like it! I tried the leave-in conditioner and the hair mask and really neither did anything for my hair. That's not to say that it wouldn't work for other people, but it just didn't work for me. Hope that helps! <3

Wouldn't coconut oil work just as well if not better as the deep conditioner? And you can pick it up in any health food store for a fraction of the cost. It too is a solid oil that you "melt" into your hair. What is your opinion?

Have you ever tried 'It's a 10!'? I'd love to know what you think of it. (:

Really your best bet is to try it out on your hair, but try to purchase it somewhere where you can return it if it doesn't work. A lot of beauty stores will do that, I know PureBeauty does! <3
