None of it is CGI. Real animals were used in a controlled environment and many scenes were "staged" for the high speed camera.

Someday, the superstitious people will be gone. I can't wait for that. Seeing all this diversity of life, I can't see how anyone could deny the reality of biological evolution by means of natural selection. Religious people reject science in favor of superstition. Shame. Shame.

Ahh, I see. Someone who doesn't believe in global warming. Well, science provides fact, not fiction or gut feelings. Just look up "glacier receding" in the google to see what I mean. Over time, we'll run out of polar ice altogether--that ain't no impact. But I agree the planet's going to be fine, but as a species, we? Not so much...

I agree but oil wells and strip mining are important things for society and are always done responsibly so that we keep the disruption of the environment to a minimum. Why don't you try living without oil and minerals like coal. There are still plenty of places on this earth that are kept natural. So many people just don't realize how tiny us humans are and what little impact we have globally.

It's nice but it's also kind of boring. I love it because I love anything macro about nature but it's not the most well structured film for the twitch generation. It seems like they used every shot they got and the serialization of the shots don't effectively communicate "the beauty of pollination" in as concise a way is it might. Two minutes could have done more with less and left fewer people feeling bored. Just saying.
